Bio

Jeff was a founder of Strategic Decisions Group (SDG), a founder of the Decision Education Foundation and has been involved in consulting to companies in life sciences and other industries for over 30 years. He is an advisor to several life sciences start-up companies assisting with the development of their business plans as well as their sourcing of capital and deal terms. He has recently worked with several major pharmaceutical companies to improve the competitiveness of their business models especially in their cost of sales and in rationalizing their manufacturing. Previously, with SDG for 19 years, he served in several management positions including CEO, CFO and Practice Area Leader and was a member of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors. He has conducted over 100 corporate strategies which involved acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, substantial growth in new markets and development of new management capability. He pioneered the use of quantitative techniques to determine the risk, price and value of non-performing assets. He serves on the board of a privately held software company, and is on the board of Save the Children where he is a member of the Executive Committee and Chairman of the Compensation Committee. He is also on the board of the Decision Education Foundation and is a Consulting Professor at Stanford University’s Department of Management Science and Engineering where he teaches a course in corporate decision-making. He received his BA in Economics from Middlebury College and his masters from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
