Peter Wirth Bio

Peter J. Wirth joined KBW in 1982 and is the Chairman of KBW’s Investment Banking Group. Prior to this, Peter was the Head of Investment Banking. Earlier in his career, Peter had client responsibilities largely for depository institutions in the western U.S. He received a BA with honors from Stanford in Political Science with a minor in Economics and an MBA from Harvard Business School with a concentration in Finance. Peter currently sits on the Board of the MacDowell Colony, the nation’s oldest and largest artist-in-residence program.
