Bio

Bob Fleming has been a successful investment banker, venture capitalist, strategic advisor and entrepreneur for over 30 years. Since 2010, he has focused his efforts on healthcare IT companies as an advisor and investment banker. As a Managing Director with Bowen Advisors, Bob has assisted multiple clients with corporate strategy, fundraising, and M&A. Prior to Bowen, he founded and led Prism Venture Partners, which grew from inception to $1.25 billion under management during his tenure. Bob has been a director of over 30 companies in medical technology, software, components and communications. His successful investments include Cyberonics (IPO), Block Medical (sold to Hillenbrand), RF Micro Devices (IPO), SiGe Semiconductor (sold to Conexant), Epicon (sold to Nortel), and Eprise (IPO). He has completed successful fundraising and advisory assignments for RedShift BioAnalytics, BroadReach, and CareCloud. Bob began his career as an engineer, designing data communications equipment, and became an early employee at Gartner Group, founding and running a communications consulting practice. Bob brings a unique perspective to KBT Partners, having been an active venture investor as well as investment banker and entrepreneur. His expertise in corporate governance, go-to-market strategy, finance, and M&A, brings to KBT clients the ability to execute a financing, buy-side, or sell-side M&A strategy. Bob holds an undergraduate degree in Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the Wharton School. He has served on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of Big Brother Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay, and the Thayer School (Dartmouth) Board of Overseers.
