Bio

Mr. Jordan is a Co-Founder and Managing Principal of Jordan Knauff & Company. Prior to the founding of Jordan Knauff & Company, he served as a Partner in the Chicago, Illinois, office of C.I.D. Equity Partners, a leading provider of venture capital and mezzanine financing to high growth companies. Before joining C.I.D. in 1998, he was a Principal and Manager of the Chicago, Illinois, office of C3 Holdings, LLC, a private merchant bank that specialized in acquisitions and industry consolidations. From 1988 to 1997, he served as Manager of Venture Capital with Allstate Venture Capital, the $650 million venture capital investment division of the Allstate Insurance Company (NYSE: ALL), headquartered in Northbrook, Illinois. While at Allstate, he specialized in providing capital and assisting management teams in the development and financing of later-stage manufacturing and distribution companies, with a particular interest in industry consolidations. Mr. Jordan began his career in 1975 at the Kansas City, Missouri, office of Merrill Lynch, where he became a Commodity Specialist focused on commercial and industrial commodity trading programs. In 1981, he joined George T. Cook Company, a broker and processor of railroad and industrial scrap metals with operations in Kansas City, Missouri, and Shreveport, Louisiana. After managing the company’s processing operations for two years, he organized a leveraged buyout and became the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer. He has significant transaction experience in the following industries: plastic injection molding, education/career colleges, energy logistics & distribution, building products & services, warehousing & logistics, specialty chemicals, food processing, telecommunications, financial services, software, and manufacturing process control technology. He has been a Director and variously, Chairman of the Audit Committee or the Compensation Committee of many public and private companies, including NutriSystem®, Inc. (NASDAQ GS: NTRI), Atlantic Premium Brands, Ltd. (Other OTC: APBL.PK), Sylvan Learning Centers, Inc. (NASDAQ GS: SLVN), Propane Continental, Inc., Tom’s Foods, Inc., Truswal Systems, Inc., Durowal, Inc., and Smart Warehousing, LLC. He was a co-founder of Liberty Propane, L.P., Liberty Propane, G.P., and is a co-founder of Smart Warehousing, LLC, Energy Distribution Partners G.P., LLC, Energy Distribution Partners Holdings, L.P., and EDPO, LLC. Mr. Jordan is a graduate of Georgetown University (B.S.B.A. – Finance). He has won numerous awards for his work, including among others, Acquisition Finance Magazine’s Leading Advisor of the Year in the United States for 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018. In addition, Mr. Jordan has been a panelist or speaker at numerous industry seminars, conferences, and meetings.
