Mitchell Schauer Bio

Mitchell Schauer is the Head of Real Estate Corporate Finance at Jarden, based in Australia. He has spent 18 years covering the Australasian real estate sector, including 11 years at UBS. Mitchell has significant experience in corporate advisory and capital markets, with an outstanding track record of helping clients to achieve their strategic and financial objectives across dozens of transactions. He advises listed and unlisted real estate groups, private equity, and superannuation, pension and sovereign funds, on M&A, direct property transactions (including capital partnerships and sale & leasebacks), restructurings, listed and unlisted capital raisings, and IPOs. Mitchell is well known and respected as a thoughtful and trusted adviser, having been involved in some of Australia’s largest and most complex listed and unlisted real estate transactions. Prior to joining Jarden upon its establishment in Australia in 2020, Mitchell was a senior Executive Director at UBS. He started his investment banking career at JP Morgan. Mitchell has a German and Hong Kong Chinese multicultural background, and has travelled extensively internationally. He studied at King’s College New Zealand and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics and International Business) and Bachelor of Arts (Chinese) from The University of Auckland.
