Thorsten Gladiator Bio

Thorsten is a Managing Partner of Investec, focused on debt advisory for both private equity-driven situations and in various corporate financings. He has over 25 years experience in the European LBO markets and has arranged 100+ debt financings, ranging from EUR 50m to more than EUR 3bn in total debt. He also has strong connections to Germany‘s Mittelstand (ie. German mid-market companies that are usually family-owned). Before joining the Wiesbaden office in October 2016, Thorsten was a Managing Director at Commerzbank AG., where he was head of the market-leading German Leveraged Finance group. He was previously a Director at UBS Investment Bank, in their private equity group; and with Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, where he started his career in leveraged finance in the early days of the German LBO market. Thorsten holds a degree in Economics from the University of Hamburg (Diplom Kaufmann) and is fluent in German and English.
