Michael is a Co-founder of Capitalmind which he co-build over 20 years with his Partners and successfully merged into Investec PLC. He has over 30 years of experience in investment banking, having successfully completed more than 100 M&A and financing transactions. He focuses on deal origination and coverage of major clients. Before joining Investec Michael held senior roles at leading financial institutions, including Co-Head of M&A Germany at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson and Managing Director at Citigroup. At Citigroup, he served as Head of Investment Banking for the German-speaking countries at Salomon Smith Barney and as a Board Member of Salomon Brothers AG, a regulated bank with a full banking license. He was a member of the Global and European Investment Banking Committee of Citi in New York and London. He is a member of the board of trustees of “Rheingau Musik Festival” and a member of “Atlantikbrücke”. Michael holds a bachelor’s degree from Hochschule Mainz – University of Applied Sciences. He is fluent in German and English. He is married and has two children.
