Derek Mattson Bio

Derek Mattson is a founding partner and Managing Director at Inverness Advisors. During the course of his career, Derek has advised clients on a wide variety of M&A transactions as well as both public and private financings. Derek began his investment banking career with Cowen & Company in the mid-1990s and was also head of TMT M&A for Friedman, Billings, Ramsey and Managing Director with Montgomery & Co. Earlier in his career, Derek was a principal in Allianz AG's global strategic development group in Munich, Germany. Derek received a BS degree from the University of Delaware, and an MBA degree from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
