Steve joined Intrepid as a Managing Director and founding principal in 2011. He serves as the Head of the Beauty & Personal Care practice and has more than 20 years of mergers and acquisitions experience. He has a deep understanding of trends and value-drivers across the sector, maintains ongoing dialogue with the acquirer and investor universe, and has a proven track record of helping clients sell to global strategic acquirers and value-added private equity groups. Prior to Intrepid, Steve was a Managing Director and helped build Barrington Associates, a specialty investment bank, into one of the most respected middle-market M&A advisory firms in the United States. In 2006, Wells Fargo Securities acquired Barrington to serve as the M&A advisory platform of the bank. Prior to Barrington, Steve served as Vice President at Bowles Hollowell Conner & Co., a national investment banking firm specializing in merger and acquisition services for middle-market companies. Steve also served as Manager of Mergers and Acquisitions at National Service Industries, a $2 billion diversified manufacturing and services company. Born and raised in Virginia, Steve has made the permanent transition to the West Coast and currently resides in Manhattan Beach with his wife of 22 years and his 9-year-old daughter. On the weekends, you can usually find him at the beach with his family, on the tennis courts, or watching UVA football and basketball during the season.
