Bio

Tom Furnas has over thirty years of business experience covering diverse industry segments including: media and entertainment, information technology, manufacturing, automotive, aerospace and defense; and diverse functional areas including: strategic planning, financial analysis; M&A, HR, knowledge management, Six-Sigma, and IT; with work experience ranging from a Fortune 100 company, education, non-profits, start-ups and family owned businesses. Prior to joining Inglewood Associates, Tom worked for a top 20 market PBS & NPR Joint Licensee – ideastream in a CIO/CTO role with responsibility for Radio & TV engineering, Information Technology, Web and Streaming Technology, and Distance Learning Technologies. Tom also served as the primary project manager for the construction and systems integration of ideastream’s facility called the Idea Center at Playhouse Square. Tom also held several key senior management positions since joining TRW in 1990 including: Corporate Knowledge Manager, manager special projects, manager planning & group development of TRW Space & Electronics Group in Redondo Beach, CA; manager planning & strategic projects for TRW’s space & defense and information systems segments, manager planning & analysis for corporate consolidations, corporate capital administrator, and as an HR business systems analyst at TRW Corporate Headquarters in Cleveland, OH Tom has a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in information systems from Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) Weatherhead School of Management; and is a graduate CWRU of where he earned a bachelor’s degree with a dual major in business management and political science and minor in economics. Tom has served on the boards of a variety of community organizations including: Turnaround Management Association, Past Board Chair of the Cleveland Sight Center, Civic Innovation Lab, OneCommunity, and as a volunteer mentor for JumpStart’s Burton D. Morgan Mentoring Program.

Education
