Bio

Nancy Terrill's over 35 years of business experience supports her banking standards expert witness litigation support practice as well as a business consulting practice focused on value maximization, turnaround restructuring and financial engineering. Nancy's expertise was originally developed during a 25 year career in banking where she was the National Manager of a $3 billion troubled loan portfolio for a large regional bank. As the executive of the bank with the most intimate knowledge of the troubled loan portfolio, she participated in all executive bank strategy meetings, including those involved with loan portfolio sales. Nancy was also Chairman of the Loan Review Committee. Nancy uses this expertise in her expert witness practice where she has clear insight into how workout bankers and commercial lenders should act with their clients. In addition, this experience makes her uniquely qualified to assist borrowers when restructuring, refinancing, or selling their operations for the best economic return. After her banking career, Nancy was a Managing Director for a boutique consulting firm specializing in restructuring cases. Nancy has experience in distressed situations in diverse industrial based businesses including construction, leasing, automotive suppliers and healthcare. Most recently Nancy worked for Grant Thornton LLP in the transaction advisory practice in Cleveland, where she performed in-depth financial due diligence for private equity, strategic buyers and lenders in both healthy and distressed M&A transactions. She also worked for the firm's largest client, an OEM automotive manufacturer, assisting in the management of the supply chain by evaluating, monitoring and in some cases liquidating the supplier in such a way as to eliminate supply chain risk for the automotive client. While at Grant Thornton, Nancy began her Banking Standards Expert Witness Practice. Nancy received her Master in Business Administration/Finance degree from Cleveland State University and a Bachelors of Arts degree in International Business at Lake Erie College including studies at La Universidad de Salamanca, Spain. Nancy has also earned the Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP) designation, evidence of her expertise in corporate renewal.
