Jason W. Reese is the Co-Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Imperial Capital Asset Management, LLC and the Co-Founder of Imperial Capital, LLC, both founded in 1997. Imperial Capital Asset Management is a registered investment advisor, headquartered in Florida, which has managed various hedge funds, investment partnerships, a private REIT and a private equity fund. Imperial Capital, LLC is a U.S. registered broker-dealer with approximately 150 employees, headquartered in Los Angeles, with offices in New York, Boston, Houston, Palm Beach Gardens, and Stamford, Imperial Capital (International), LLP, a U.K. registered broker-dealer headquartered in London, and Imperial Capital SIM S.p.A situated in Milan, Italy, an authorized subsidiary of Imperial Capital International. Mr. Reese also serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Great Elm Group, Inc, a NASDAQ listed alternative asset manager focused on growing a scalable and diversified portfolio of long-duration and permanent capital vehicles across credit, real estate, specialty finance and other alternative strategies. Mr. Reese is also a founding member of City Ventures, LLC, a California-based private home builder, and has served on its Board of Directors since inception. Prior to Imperial Capital, Mr. Reese was a principal with Gordon Investment Corporation, a merchant banking firm in New York and Dallas, where he focused on investing in distressed real estate transactions, high yield securities and leveraged buyouts. Prior to his time with Gordon, Mr. Reese worked in the Corporate Finance Group at PaineWebber in New York. Mr. Reese graduated with honors from Yale University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
