Rich Gerdy is Vice-President, Equity Trading in the Institutional Sales & Trading Department. Prior to joining Hovde, Mr. Gerdy spent 7 years as CFO of Farm Creative Parlour. Mr. Gerdy brings significant Capital Markets experience as a trader including 4 years as a market maker in NASDAQ NMS securities with E*Trade Capital Markets, and 13 years as a specialist in NYSE listed equities on the floor of the Chicago Stock Exchange. Additionally he spent 3 years on the trade desk at OptionsHouse, an on-line options and equities brokerage firm owned by Peak6. Mr. Gerdy holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Indiana University. He resides in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Gerdy is registered with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and holds Series 7, 24, 57 and 63 licenses.
