Bio

Mr. Mikullitz is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Mergers & Acquisitions Group and serves as Head of Shareholder Activism. He has nearly two decades of M&A advisory experience, including over a decade in investment banking. Mr. Mikullitz has extensive experience advising public company boards of directors and management teams in connection with shareholder activism, governance-related matters, and corporate defense. He has also advised numerous companies in public and private mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, both negotiated and contested, across a variety of industries. He is based in the firm’s New York office. Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Mikullitz was a Director in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Deutsche Bank Securities, where he was Head of Shareholder Activism and Contested Situations. In addition, he led Deutsche Bank's Metals & Mining M&A advisory practice in North America. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Mr. Mikullitz was an Executive Director in the Global M&A Group at J.P. Morgan Securities for over seven years, where he was based in New York. He began his investment banking career at Jefferies & Company in New York, prior to which he was associated with the law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in New York, where he was a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions Group. Mr. Mikullitz holds a B.A. from Colgate University and a J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center.
