Daniel Small Bio

Mr. Small is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Industrials Group, focusing on aerospace, defense, and government (ADG) clients. His areas of specialty include hi-rel electronics, defense and space technology, and specialty manufacturing. Mr. Small has completed more than 50 M&A transactions throughout the broader ADG and industrial technology ecosystem. He is based in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office. Mr. Small has advised middle-market businesses in their sales to industry leaders, such as Astronics, Ball Aerospace, Boeing, Ducommun, L3H, Meggitt, PCC, Thales, TransDigm, and York Space Systems, and to private equity groups such as Arcline, Arlington Capital, AE Industrial, AEA, ATL Partners, Audax, Bain, Carlyle, Greenbriar, J.F. Lehman, and The Jordan Company. He has also supported many global divestitures, including assignments with L3H, G4S, Gentex, and Pulse Electronics. Mr. Small holds a B.S. in Commerce with concentrations in Finance and International Business from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.
