Sandy is a Managing Director at Horizon Partners and co-founded the business in 2010 with no outside funding. He has architected Horizon’s highly focused strategy of partnering with exceptional, product-led bootstrapped technology companies such as Distrokid, Mathway, and XE.com. Prior to Horizon, he was Vice President, Director of New Media & Technology at Media Venture Partners, a boutique M&A advisory firm in San Francisco. Sandy started MVP’s New Media & Technology practice and closed the first M&A transaction for a smartphone gaming company in early 2010. Sandy has been advising bootstrapped technology companies for over 15 years and co-leads every client engagement. HIs approach is informed by actively investing in technology startups such as unicorns Palantir, Canva, and Zoox. Sandy received his B.A. in Psychology and M.S. in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University.
