Neil is a Debt Advisory Director at HMT with over 10 years experience. After obtaining his MA in Economics and Accountancy from the University of Edinburgh in 2006, Neil trained as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG. Before working in debt advisory at KPMG, Neil worked in audit and restructuring and completed a one-year secondment to Lloyds Bank. During this time he worked with a diverse range of businesses from start-ups to listed asset managers, sharpening his financial and credit analysis skills. Since focusing on debt advisory, Neil has worked in Edinburgh, Frankfurt and London and built up a 10-year track record of advising clients to help them raise debt to support their strategic objectives, including supporting private equity sponsors with leveraged buyouts, helping management teams refinance existing debt and supporting business owners raise transitional capital.
