Bio

Simon started his financial services career in 1998 with Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith, in private wealth management. While there he attained a Series 7 General Securities License, a Series 66 Uniform Investment Advisor License and a Certified Financial Manager designation. In 2002, Simon left Merrill Lynch, and from 2002 to January 2010 he served as a senior account executive and vice president for oil and gas exploration and production drilling programs. During this time, he was responsible for financing over 200 different drilling operations along the gulf coast, and raised approximately $50 million in capital. In January 2010, Simon founded SIM Consulting, LLC, and co-founded Fractal Capital Management, LLC. SIM Consulting, LLC was a boutique investment bank that raised VC capital for emerging growth companies in the healthcare space. Fractal Capital Management, LLC is the General Partner for the Hedge Fund, Fractal Capital LP. Simon joined White Rock Associates, LLC as a Managing Director in August 2010. After a rebrand in 2021, White Rock Associates is now called Hext Capital Partners, LLC. Simon is an investment banking executive with a specialty in private debt/equity offerings, buy/sell side mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructure and refinance. He has an excellent track record identifying investment partners and working through complex transactions. He has assisted a wide variety of companies through capital raises, majority and minority recapitalizations, litigation support and restructurings. He has been successfully able to manage multiple and diverse projects to closing. He is a team member guided by strong ethics and morals. Simon graduated from The University of Texas with a BBA in finance and a minor in management information systems in 2000;
