Oren Schmidt is a Principal at Heritage Capital Group, Inc., a middle-market investment banking firm headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida. His primary focus is Aerospace & Defense merger & acquisitions and strategic consulting assignments for clients. Oren leads both sell-side and buy-side assignments for clients seeking to sell or grow their businesses as well as strategic consulting to drive value, create moat and increase profitability in businesses. Oren’s career in the A&D industry spans more than 23 years. The company also established prestigious authorized distribution and repair agreements with such key aerospace manufacturers as PCC, Transdigm, and LISI Aerospace. In 2019, Oren facilitated the strategic acquisition of his company, Orkal Industries, by Marmon Holdings, LLC, a Berkshire Hathaway Company. Oren was promoted to the role of group company president for the aerospace division shortly thereafter, having successfully led the company under corporate ownership to multi-year record results post-acquisition. Oren earned a bachelor’s degree from the NYU Gallatin School as well as an MBA from Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus.
