Bio

Dan Curran is a principal with Heritage Capital Group. Dan primarily focuses on advising clients on merger and acquisition transactions as well as strategic planning. Dan joins Heritage with over 45 years of exemplary leadership and financial expertise within the healthcare industry. He began his career of over 30 years with KPMG, where, for over 20 years, he was an audit and advisory partner, a member of the national healthcare leadership team, and the southeast area leader for business and advisory services. His primary areas of expertise included financial statement attestation, financial modeling, process and performance improvement, corporate and regulatory compliance, due diligence related to mergers and acquisitions, and tax-exempt financing. He then served as senior vice president and CFO of a large diversified Florida healthcare system before forming Amelia Consulting Group, LLC. Amelia Consulting Group, LLC, offered strategic and advisory services to healthcare entities. In 2016, he joined Books Rehabilitation as their EVP and CFO and led the accounting, payroll, finance, and managed care of the revenue cycle and information technology functions. He also contributed heavily to Brooks’ new business activity and strategic direction. Dan holds a BS in accounting from the University of Connecticut School of Business. Fulfilling a commitment to the community, Dan has been involved in numerous community organizations, including serving on the boards of Gateway Community Services, the Sulzbacher Center, JaxCare, Jax PAL, and the Community Connections board.
