Bio

Mr. Byrge directs Harpeth Capital’s principal investing, venture capital and fund placement business. He has over 30 years of experience with investing, capital raising and advising on M&A transactions for middle market companies. Prior to joining Harpeth Capital, he was a Senior Managing Director and Head of Investment Banking at FTN Financial Securities, where he was involved in opening and directing the New York and Nashville offices. Prior to that, he was Managing Director of Mergers and Acquisitions at SunTrust Equitable Securities (now Truist Securities), where he directed a wide variety of assignments for both public and private companies. Earlier in his career, Chuck was a senior member of the M & A Department at Morgan Keegan & Co. and Vice President at NationsBanc Capital Markets in Dallas where he co-directed the M&A practice for the Southwestern U.S. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a former Certified Public Accountant with Peat Marwick and Ernst & Young. Chuck received a BA in Economics from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University. He has served on the Alumni Board of Directors and is currently a member of the Emeritus Board for Owen Graduate School of Management. Chuck serves on the Board of CaringWays, Polaris Health, HomeFirst Home Healthcare, First Honey and the Nashville Health Care Council’s Fellows Alumni Board. He is also a member of the Advisory Board for Mainsail Group. Previously he served on the Board of the Nashville Healthcare Council and is an alumni of their Fellows program. He is also a former Board member of the Boy Scouts of America Middle Tennessee Council and the Nashville Sports Council.

Education
