Mr. Brown is the Founding Partner of HamptonRock and has over 20 years of financial services and private equity experience. Prior to founding HamptonRock, Mr. Brown was a Partner with BV Investment Partners, a Boston based private equity firm focused on investments in the tech-enabled business services, software and IT services industries. At BV, Mr. Brown was a member of the investment committee and was responsible for sourcing, executing, and managing investment opportunities. Prior to BV, Mr. Brown spent 14 years providing merger and acquisition advisory services to both public and private clients in the U.S. and abroad across a variety of situations and industries . Mr. Brown was Managing Director and the head of multiple industry groups at a Dallas-based advisory firm where he organically built the industrial and energy technology industry practices by serving private equity firms as well as family, founder-owned businesses. Mr. Brown previously worked as a member of the investment banking team with Citigroup in New York and began his investment banking career with Stephens Inc. Mr. Brown received his BA in history from the University of the South at Sewanee and his MBA from Wake Forest University. He lives in Dallas with his wife and two children.
