Luis E. Rinaldini, Managing Director, founded Groton in 2003. Since then, among the companies that Mr. Rinaldini has advised are: AmBev in its $11 bn merger with Interbrew and Royalty Pharma in its $1 bn recapitalization. He was formerly a Vice Chairman and Global Head of Telecom Mergers & Acquisitions at Credit Suisse First Boston. Mr. Rinaldini joined CSFB in 2001 from Lazard, where he was the Senior Managing Director in charge of the Telecom Group as well as the firm's Latin American efforts. Mr. Rinaldini joined Lazard in 1980 and became a partner (later Managing Director) in 1985. During his years at Lazard, Mr. Rinaldini led teams which completed a number of landmark transactions including the acquisitions of RCA by GE, RJR by KKR, MCI by WorldCom, Ernst & Young Consulting by Cap Gemini, and the merger of Warner Communications and Time. Mr. Rinaldini also directed capital-raising transactions of $1 billion or more for Comcast, Equant, Time Warner and Vivendi. Mr. Rinaldini graduated Cum Laude from Princeton University and received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
