Bio

Mr. Akbar joined Greenhill in 2018. He principally advises clients in the midstream sector of the energy industry, and has over 20 years of M&A experience. Prior to joining Greenhill, Ali spent 14 years at RBC Capital Markets in New York, where he most recently led the U.S. Energy M&A effort and was also co-head of the Valuation and Fairness Review Committee. Prior to that, he worked in the Merchant Banking Group at BNP Paribas. Ali began his career with the M&A group at Deutsche Bank. Ali holds a BS from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
