Bio

As a Partner in Grant Thornton’s Federal Tax Practice, Mark is responsible for leading client relationships and providing services across Florida’s five offices. Based in South Florida, Mark has been part of the Firm’s leadership team for more than ten years. He has served in a number of key Operational, Industry, and Technical tax roles over his career. Most recently, he was the National Tax Managing Partner for Private Client Services. Mark has been long recognized as one of the firm’s leading client service partners and more than twelve years ago he helped start Grant Thornton’s National Client Experience Council. Mark spends considerable time giving back to the South Florida community through leadership roles in charitable causes like the Miami Dolphins Cancer Challenge. He is active with his alma mater, serving as the current Chair for the University of Miami’s Accounting Advisory Board. Prior to joining Grant Thornton in 1999, Mark spent nearly ten years with PwC in Miami. Mark has 30 years of experience in public accounting, serving diverse clients in both the private and public sectors. His broad consulting background has been focused primarily in corporate tax matters, with deep experience covering SEC compliance, accounting for income taxes, tax accounting method selection, and mergers/acquisition planning. Mark’s clients consider him a trusted business advisor, helping bring solutions to their Federal, Multi-State, and International tax demands.
