Bio

Tim Shacklock founded Gleacher Shacklock in 2003, and is currently Chairman of the firm. Tim specialises in strategic financial advice and complex M&A and has advised on a number of Europe’s most prominent corporate finance transactions, including the £26bn defence of NatWest, the £10.4bn defence of GKN, the £19bn sale of Orange to Mannesmann and its subsequent £27bn onward sale to France Telecom, the £7.7bn acquisition of GEC’s defence business to form BAE Systems and the £10.5bn contested combination of Just Eat and Takeaway.com. Prior to founding Gleacher Shacklock, Tim was Deputy Chairman of Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, with overall responsibility for the firm’s worldwide investment banking business of c. 1,500 people. Prior to becoming an investment banker, Tim qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
