Bio

Michael joined Gleacher Shacklock in June 2015 to lead its Debt Advisory practice, having worked previously at Lazard as a Managing Director and Head of Debt Advisory. Michael joined Lazard from GE Commercial Finance, where he was a Managing Director. He ran the buy-side business in Europe, with a debt portfolio of €5bn, investing primarily in senior secured bank debt in primary syndications and the secondary market. Prior to GE, Michael spent 14 years at UBS and its predecessor firms in a number of roles, most recently as co-Head of European Leveraged Finance and Global Head of Acquisition Finance. With extensive experience in LBO finance, acquisition finance, debt investing and restructuring, Michael has worked in both London and New York. He has a BSc (Hons) in Physics and Philosophy from Bristol University.
