Barry DeWitt Bio

As a Senior Dealmaker and part of Generational Equity’s Eastern Regional Group, Barry DeWitt works directly with private middle-market business owners to develop and implement targeted exit strategies. Barry brings over 20 years of financial valuation, forecasting, auditing, analysis, market research and closing experience to his current position with Generational Equity. In his capacity as Managing Director, he guides clients through the marketing process to find the right buyer for their business. Barry develops marketing documents, identifies target buyer groups, manages marketing campaigns, negotiates letters of intent, and facilitates the due diligence and closing process. Barry earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Tampa. He subsequently worked at Salomon Brothers and at William R. Hough & Company, a Florida investment banking firm, where he was a licensed Account Executive, licensed Securities Principal, and member of the Investment Committee. Leaving the public markets to focus on valuing and selling privately owned companies, Barry became a Mergers and Acquisitions Specialist for Citigroup’s middle-market division where he was recognized as a top producer. Barry is a licensed real estate broker in Florida and Georgia.
