Mr. Colton has over 25 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, private equity, international business, government contracting, start-ups, capitalizations and recapitalizations. He has proven skills in building and guiding business vision and strategy to execution in multiple industries. Mr. Colton is a “serial entrepreneur” and has extensive knowledge of the constantly changing global business landscape. Mr. Colton is passionate about working with business owners as they are planning for the future sale of their business. Mr. Colton has a successful record of key teambuilding, project launches and successful long-term execution in multiple industries, both domestically and internationally. Prior to joining Generational Equity, Mr. Colton served as CEO for companies that operated in the following sectors: aerospace & defense, security, cyber security, threat intelligence, tactical gear, energy, water remediation, consulting, government contracting, footwear and apparel, and retail. Mr. Colton was a key part of the success of each organization as he guided and directed the vision and strategy in their growth phases and many through eventual exits. Mr. Colton has served on the board of directors of several companies and non-profits. He was an All American swimmer, Far Western League champion in Alpine Skiing, and serves in his local church. He earned his education from De Anza College in Cupertino, California and Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX.
