Alex is a Director at Foros, having joined the firm in 2012, where he advises clients on strategic matters, primarily in the technology sector. Alex’s transaction experience includes advising the following companies: Blackbaud on its response to an unsolicited takeover proposal from 18% owner, Clearlake Capital; Litify on the majority stake acquisition by Bessemer Venture Partners; Sard Verbinnen & Co on it’s $318 million merger with Finsbury Glover Hering; Rapid7 on its $335 million acquisition of IntSights; F5 on its $670 million acquisition of NGINX, its $1 billion acquisition of Shape Security, its $500 million Acquisition of Volterra, its $68 million acquisition of Threat Stack and its acquisition of Lilac Cloud; SEACOR on its $1 billion take-private transaction with AIP; PM Legal and eLaw on their sale to Lexitas; SurveyMonkey on its IPO; Dassault Systèmes on its $400 million acquisition of Exa; IFS on its acquisitions of Astea and WorkWave; CA Technologies on its €600 million acquisition of Automic, its $170 million divestiture of arcserve to Marlin Equity and its $50 million divestiture of ERwin to Parallax Capital Partners; Harte Hanks on its $112 million divestiture of Trillium Software to Syncsort and its divestiture of 3Q Digital; Intematix on its sale to Chongqing Brightbridge Lighting; EarthLink on its $1.1 billion merger with Windstream; Intersil on its $3.2 billion sale to Renesas, SailPoint on its sale to Thoma Bravo, and Silicon Labs on its $170 million acquisition of Energy Micro. Alex earned a B.A in Economics (magna cum laude with distinction) and minors in Mathematics and International Development from the University of Pennsylvania.
