James Morgan, a Managing Director at the Forbes M+A Group, has focused on M&A and capital markets execution since 2000. He is known for his hands-on approach to the transaction process and focus on strategic positioning, process dynamics and financing structure as they relate to ultimate valuation and closing. His sector background over his career has ranged from industrial, services, transportation and a number of other core verticals. Prior to joining the Forbes M+A Group in 2019, James worked at a number of leading investment banks that include Scotia Capital, Citi and most recently eleven years at HSBC Securities in New York. His work in mergers & acquisitions has been focused on sell-side advisory, public transactions, capital raising and cross-border advisory between the United States and global markets. His work as a relationship manager covering financial sponsors has enabled him the opportunity to create connectivity between founder-owned private businesses and long-term providers of institutional capital. James’ long-standing transaction experience, knowledge across capital markets and sectors bring a breadth of capabilities to ownership and management teams seeking strategic, transformational solutions.
