Johnny is an Associate Director of Focus Capital Partners. Johnny has 10 years’ experience in corporate finance and advisory roles. Since joining the firm in 2013, Johnny has managed several of Focus’ key transactions. Johnny has managed €150M of refinance transactions across numerous sectors including the property, retail, leisure and food & beverage sectors in recent years. Many of the transactions involved negotiating exits with existing institutions, sourcing and structuring appropriate new debt and equity finance and managing the financing process to completion. Johnny has also advised on a number of valuations, due diligence and restructuring and assignments across a range of sectors. Prior to joining Focus Capital Partners, Johnny trained as an accountant in the Advisory Department of Grant Thornton in Dublin where he became Assistant Manager. Johnny worked on several successful corporate finance & restructuring projects along with a number of formal insolvency assignments involving the work-out and sale of over-leveraged real estate portfolios. Johnny was also seconded to Ulster Bank from Grant Thornton for a period of 9 months. Johnny is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree (Accounting & Finance major) from University of Limerick.
