Steve Darnell possesses more than 30 years of investment banking experience in the U.S. engineering and construction industry, and is one of the founding members of the mergers and acquisitions group, FMI Capital Advisors. Since joining FMI in 1979, Steve has completed numerous international transactions, including strategic advisory assignments, mergers, acquisitions and valuations. He has been instrumental in assisting international engineering and construction firms as they enter new markets in North and South America, Europe and Asia. Steve served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Vietnam and is a member of The Moles, a national organization for people currently or formerly involved in the construction of tunnel, subway, sewer, foundation, marine, sub-aqueous and other heavy construction projects. A thought leader, Steve frequently publishes articles and speaks at conferences and industry forums on international involvement in the U.S. construction industry, acquisition integration and industry trends.
