Bio

Zac Marsalis is a managing director in Evercore’s Energy group focused on advising oil field services and equipment companies. Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Marsalis was a vice president at PPHB and has more than a decade of experience in the oil field services sector. Select transactions include advising FMC Technologies on its cross-border merger of equals with Technip; Dril-Quip on its acquisition of TIW; C&J Energy Services on its acquisition of O-Tex Holdings; Halliburton on the divestiture of its surface safety valve division to National Oilwell Varco; Schlumberger on the divestiture of its U.S. rental tool division; NCS Energy Services on its sale to Advent International; Compressor Systems on its sale to Compressco Partners; and Hasco Manufacturing on its sale to Weatherford International. Previously, Mr. Marsalis served as an officer in the U.S. Army for more than eight years as part of the Texas National Guard, which included a yearlong tour of duty in Iraq. He has an MBA from Rice University and a B.S. in finance from Texas A&M University.
