Bio

Zac Marsalis joined Evercore’s Investment Banking business in its Energy Group and is based in Evercore’s Houston office where he focuses on oilfield services and equipment companies. Mr. Marsalis was most recently a Vice President at PPHB (formerly known as Parks Paton Hoepfl & Brown) and has more than a decade of experience focused solely on the Oilfield Services sector. He has worked with a broad range of leading companies in the space, both public and private, and has advised on numerous M&A and capital market transactions. Select experience includes advising FMC Technologies on its cross-border merger of equals with Technip S.A. ($13 billion), Dril-quip on its acquisition of TIW Corp, C&J Energy Services on its acquisition of O-Tex Holdings, Halliburton on the divestiture of its surface safety valve division to National Oilwell Varco, Schlumberger on the divestiture of its US rental tool division, NCS Energy Services on its sale to Advent International, Compressor Systems, Inc. on its sale to Compressco Partners, Hasco Manufacturing on its sale to Weatherford International, both Drilling Systems International and, separately, Resource Well Completion Technologies on their sale to Schoeller-Bleckmann Oilfield Equipment, Kel-Tech, Inc. on its sale to Arsenal Capital Partners, Oil Patch Group on its sale to SCF Partners, UPCO, Inc. on its sale to Dover Corporation, Old School Services on its sale to Halliburton, Triton Diving on its sale to Grey Mountain Partners, Foxxe Energy Services on its sale to Ensign Energy Services and National Coupling on its sale to Hunting Plc. Prior to PPHB, Mr. Marsalis served as an Officer in the U.S. Army for more than eight years as part of the Texas National Guard and includes a yearlong tour of duty in Iraq. Mr. Marsalis has an M.B.A. from Rice University and B.S. in Finance from Texas A&M University.
