Ted Michaels is a senior managing director in the firm’s Infrastructure and Energy Transition group. Mr. Michaels was most recently global head of renewables and sustainable energy technology at Credit Suisse. In his 15 years covering the renewables and clean energy sectors, he led many notable M&A and capital markets transactions, including public mergers, development platform divestitures and acquisitions, SPAC mergers, initial public offerings, public equity and private capital financings. He has advised a range of strategic and financial clients on these transactions, working with infrastructure funds, sponsors, electric utilities, private developers and public companies, including Array Technologies, Enphase, EVgo, First Solar, FTC Solar, Hannon Armstrong, Stem, Sunlight Financial, Sunnova, SunPower, Sunrun and Vivint Solar. Earlier in his career, Mr. Michaels worked in the power & utilities investment banking division at Dexia and the technology solutions managing consulting group at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He earned a B.S. in engineering from the University of Virginia and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
