Simon Lam is a Managing Director in Evercore’s Private Capital Advisory group. Prior to Evercore, he was a Managing Director in Greenhill’s Capital Advisory Group and founded the firm’s Hong Kong office focusing on primary fundraising and secondary advisory. Before joining Greenhill, Mr. Lam was the Head of Marketing for CLSA Capital Partners, an Asia-based alternative asset management firm. Prior to CLSA Capital Partners, he was a Senior Vice President for the Private Placement Group at Macquarie Capital in Asia. There, he was responsible for the development of the business group and the marketing of alternative investment products to institutional investors in Asia. Mr. Lam has over 20 years of banking experience in Asia and began his investment banking career with Deutsche Bank and Citibank where he focused on developing the banks’ respective equity capital markets business in Asia. Mr. Lam received a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from Columbia University. He holds a Type 1 license in Hong Kong. Mr. Lam is fluent in English and Chinese.
