Sesh Raghavan is a Managing Director of the firm’s corporate advisory business in the power and utility group, and is based in New York. Mr. Raghavan has fourteen years of investment banking experience. Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Raghavan was a Director at Lexicon Partners and before that, an Executive Director at J.P.Morgan’s power & utilities team in NY, where he focused on mergers & acquisitions and capital markets. Prior to that, he worked at J.P.Morgan and the investment banking industry in Mumbai for five years focusing on financing in the power sector and capital markets. Selected experience includes: NSTAR on its merger with Northeast Utilities; advisory work for PNM Resources on Optim Energy generation assets and First Choice Power retail energy business; Progress Energy on sale of its merchant power generation assets and contracts; Dynegy on sale of Lyondell Cogen & its midstream liquids business; CMS Energy on sale of Midland Cogeneration Venture & Palisades nuclear; advisory work for Michigan Electric Transmission Company; Public Utilities Commission of Texas on Texas Genco valuation; advisory work for Cascade Natural Gas and AES Corporation; valuation of several Duke Energy North America assets; equity/convert capital raise by several power companies including CMS, Duke, Dynegy, PNM, Progress, Puget. Mr. Raghavan received an MBA with distinction from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University of Mumbai and is a Chartered Accountant.
