Nick Pomponi is a senior managing director in Evercore’s strategic advisory practice. He is a leader in the Technology practice, focusing on software and services. Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Pomponi spent 16 years at Goldman Sachs, where he was a partner and global co-head of software within the investment banking division. Over his tenure, he has advised technology companies at all stages of the business life cycle, working on strategic M&A, raising capital through IPOs, equity and debt raises, and other transactions. Notable deals include advising on IBM’s acquisition of Red Hat, Ultimate Software’s sale to Blackstone and H&F, Koch’s acquisition of Infor, Endurance’s sale to Clearlake, Nuance’s spinoff of Cerence, and Paycor’s sale to Apax. He has also led the IPOs of such companies as Datadog, Ceridian, MongoDB, DigitalOcean, Vertex and Squarespace. Mr. Pomponi holds a B.A. in economics from Villanova University and an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. He also sits on the President’s Advisory Council at Villanova University.
