Mark Owen is a Managing Director in Real Estate Capital Advisory at Evercore. Within the commercial real estate sector, he focuses on large-scale, entity or portfolio-level recapitalizations and sales, joint ventures and LP secondary/minority interest transactions. Mr. Owen joined Evercore in February 2020 and is based out of New York City and Charlottesville, VA. Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Owen spent 10 years in Eastdil Secured’s private equity/structured transactions group based out of New York City and Washington, D.C. During his tenure, Mr. Owen played a critical role in the execution of approximately 50 transactions with a total capitalization in excess of $30 billion. His transaction experience included public debt and equity, public and private M&A, joint ventures and recapitalizations, debt placement and portfolio and asset level sales in nearly every property type on a national basis. Before Eastdil Secured, from 2007 to 2010, Mr. Owen worked as an analyst in the capital markets group of EDENS, a private shopping center REIT. Mr. Owen graduated magna cum laude from Clemson University in 2007 with a B.S. in Financial Management, holds series 63 and 79 securities licenses and is a CFA Charterholder.
