Marcel A. Hewamudalige is a Managing Director in the firm’s corporate advisory business focusing on energy clients in the Americas. Mr. Hewamudalige is based in Evercore’s Houston office. Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Hewamudalige was an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley focused exclusively on clients in the natural resources sector across the Americas. He has ten years of investment banking experience advising on a range of transactions including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, debt advisory, liability management, equity and debt underwritings, and other strategic actions. Over the past ten years, Mr. Hewamudalige has advised on a number of notable strategic transactions for public and private clients across the energy sector, including Antero Resources, Encana Corporation, ExxonMobil, Imperial Oil, Independence Contract Drilling, InterOil Corporation, Oasis Petroleum, PrimeWest Energy, Real Resources, Royal Dutch Shell, Sasol Limited, Statoil ASA, Suncor Energy, Sunshine Oilsands, Total SA, Tyler Resources, and Vine Oil & Gas. Mr. Hewamudalige earned his B.A. in Economics from Rice University in Houston, Texas.
