Josemaría Beltrán Bio

Josemaría Beltrán is a managing director in Evercore’s strategic advisory team in Spain and Portugal, and is based in Madrid. Mr. Beltrán has advised on a broad range of M&A, equity capital market and debt-related transactions across industrials, business services, consumer & retail and leisure. Recent transactions include the disposal of Neolith to CVC by Investindustrial, the sale of a 49.99% stake in Primafrio to Apollo Infrastructure, and the Otis/Zardoya Otis public takeover. Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Beltrán spent 11 years at Rothschild & Co, where his advisory assignments included the disposal of Alvinesa Natural Ingredients to ICG, DIA on the public takeover by L1 and concurrent recapitalisation plan, the partial disposal of CEPSA to Carlyle, the acquisition of Cirsa by Blackstone, and the eight-way merger of the Iberian bottlers of The Coca Cola Co. He also advised on more than 15 primary and secondary ECM transactions, including the IPOs of Telepizza, Talgo and Applus. Mr. Beltrán holds a double degree in finance and law from CUNEF University, where he was ranked No. 1 in his class.
