Gustavo Montes is a managing director of Evercore’s investment banking business based in London, having set up Evercore’s offices in Madrid in 2012. Mr. Montes advised on a range of transactions including regulated utilities, renewables, fiber networks, transport infrastructure and midstream infrastructure. He has advised JP Morgan on the acquisition of Falck Renewables and Iberwind; ICON in the acquisition of Sonorgas; Macquarie and Wren House on the disposal of generation and supply assets to Repsol; USS, CNIC and GT Fund on the acquisition of Redexis; 3i on the acquisition of EISER Infrastructure; GTIL, PGGM and EDF Invest on the acquisition of MRG; and Macquarie and Wren House on the acquisition of E.ON Spain. Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Montes was in Royal Bank of Scotland’s M&A team in Madrid. Earlier in his career, he was a member of Dresdner Kleinwort’s utilities and infrastructure team in London. Mr. Montes graduated from UFRJ with a B.Sc. in industrial engineering and earned an MBA from the Alliance University of Manchester. He is a Chevening Scholar.
