Graham Copeland Bio

Graham Copeland is a managing director in Evercore’s strategic advisory practice, specialising in financial services. Prior to Evercore, Mr. Copeland was a partner of Lexicon Partners, the corporate finance advisory business acquired by Evercore in 2011. Previously, he was with Goldman Sachs in London. Select transactions include the acquisition by AIA Group of Commonwealth Bank of Australia’s life insurance operations in Australia and New Zealand; the sale of Zenith to Bridgepoint; the merger of R K Harrison with Hyperion Insurance Group; the equity and debt recapitalisation of Towergate Insurance; the acquisition of MCB Finance by International Personal Finance; and the acquisition of Travelex by Dr. B. R. Shetty. In the banking and building society sectors, notable deals include Prudential on the sale of Egg to Citigroup; Yorkshire Building Society on its merger with Norwich & Peterborough; Stroud & Swindon Building Society on its merger with Coventry; and Chelsea Building Society on its merger with Yorkshire Mr. Copeland has a first-class degree in economics and management from Oxford University.
