Bio

Gent is a Managing Director in the Oil & Gas corporate advisory team, based in London, and has 14 years of investment banking experience. Prior to joining Evercore in 2011, Mr Kadare was a Vice President at Citigroup, focusing on Energy advisory and financing work. During his time at Evercore and Citi, Gent has had broad exposure to Upstream, Downstream, Midstream and OFS advisory work in M&A, financing and capital markets transactions. Mr Kadare’s deal experience includes advising on: Taqa’s $1.0B acquisition of Harding and other UK upstream assets from BP; Teesside Gas Processing Plant’s sale to Arclight Partners; Abraaj’s acquisition of a 50% interest in the Viking International land drilling business; TotalERG’s €900MM debt finance club deal in 2011; Subsea 7 on its US$5.5bn public market merger with Acergy S.A.; Zhaikmunai LLP on its inaugural US$450mn HY bond; CNPCI and ONGC on their €484mn acquisition of Petro-Canada’s Syrian upstream assets; Petrochina on its international upstream JV with CNPC; ConocoPhillips on its US$3.0bn strategic investment in Lukoil and the US$1.75bn acquisition by Petronas of Edison’s Egyptian upstream and LNG assets. Gent has an MSc in Finance from the Stockholm School of Economics and a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics.
