Eric Martz is a managing director in the firm’s Liability Management & Restructuring Group. Mr. Martz has worked on a broad range of financing, debt advisory, liability management and restructuring transactions for corporate and financial sponsor clients. Assignments have included capital structure advisory and alternative financings solutions for healthy, stressed and distressed clients, “rescue” financings, exchange offers, consent solicitations, out-of-court and Chapter 11 restructurings and distressed M&A. He has completed advisory and financing assignments across industries for clients (and sponsor portfolio companies), including Abbott Laboratories, Arris International, Adient, Arena Energy, Babcock & Wilcox, Bonanza Creek, Buckeye Partners, Cable & Wireless, Caerus Oil & Gas, Corizon Health, Covius, Diebold Nixdorf, Echo Energy, Helix Energy, iFit, Jonah Energy, Northern Oil and Gas, PBF Energy, QEP Resources, Rosefield Pipeline, TEAM Inc., Teva, Tidewater, and Waste Control Specialists. Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Martz was in the leveraged finance group at J.P. Morgan. He began his career as a corporate lawyer at Sullivan & Cromwell. Mr. Martz earned a B.C.L./LL.B. degree from the McGill University Faculty of Law.
