Bio

Daniel M. Aronson is a senior managing director of the firm’s Restructuring and Debt Advisory Group. Mr. Aronson has been involved in a broad range of financial advisory assignments including exchange offers, Chapter 11’s and distressed asset sales in various industries. He has represented companies in various industries, including Airlines (Aeromexico/Mexicana); Industrials (Chemtura, Exide, Hyundai Construction & Engineering, Oxford Automotive, Tower Automotive, Crown Vantage, Tokheim); Retail & Consumer Products (Belvedere, Eagle Family Foods, Edison Brothers, Halston, Heartland, Iowa Select Farms, Long John Silver’s, Kleinfields, Payless Cashways, Parmalat, Pilgrim’s Pride, Macy’s, Stroh Brewing Company, Thorn Apple Valley, Tru-Serve), Gaming (BLB, Empress Casino, Station, Tropicana, Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts), Healthcare (Graceway, InSight), Media & Telecommunications (Adelphia, Exodus, Genuity, MIDCOM), and Power & Energy/Oil & Gas (AES, Cerro Negro, Electropaulo, Sul, Hercules). In addition he has represented a wide range of creditors/interested parties, such as AbitibiBowater (Creditors Committee), American Rice (Bank Group), LyondellBassell (Apollo), Calpine (Creditors Committee), Comdisco (Bank Group), GENMAR (Bank Group), Momentive (Apollo), Nautilus (Bank Group), Northwest Airlines (Creditors Committee), OSG (Bank Group), and Torm (Bank Group). Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Aronson was a managing director where he served as the Co-Chief Operating Officer of Lazard’s Restructuring Group and ran the Chicago office for a number of years. Prior to joining Lazard in 2000, Mr. Aronson served as an Associate Director with Peter J. Solomon’s Restructuring practice in New York. He joined Peter J. Solomon Company in 1999 from Ernst & Young where he was a Partner in the Restructuring practice in Chicago. Prior to his tenure with E&Y in Chicago, Mr. Aronson was with E&Y’s Restructuring practice in New York. Mr. Aronson began his career in 1988 with Ernst & Young Entrepreneurial Services Group in New York. Mr. Aronson graduated from Skidmore College with a B.S. in business.
