Christopher Brand is a senior managing director and has origination, project management and distribution responsibilities for sponsors and institutional relationships in the Western United States and Western Canada for the firm’s Private Funds Group. Prior to Evercore, Mr. Brand worked as managing director with EFM, a timber investment management sponsor, where he focused on all aspects of capital raising and operations. Previously, he worked in institutional equities as managing director and head of the West Coast office of Dahlman Rose & Co. (now Cowen), a leading boutique investment bank in the areas of transportation, infrastructure, natural resources, energy and commodities. Earlier in his career, he worked at Thomas Weisel Partners Group (now Stifel Financial), a merchant bank focusing on technology, media, telecommunications, consumer, energy and industrials. Mr. Brand has also practiced general commercial, securities and real estate law with Davis Wright Tremaine, LLP and Lane Powell, LLP. Mr. Brand received his J.D., cum laude, from Willamette University College of Law, where he served on the Willamette Law Review, and his B.A. in economics from Washington & Lee University.
