Bill Thompson is a Senior Managing Director and Co-CEO of Evercore’s Private Capital Advisory business. Previously Bill was Co-head of Greenhill’s Capital Advisory Group and Co-Founder of the Credit Suisse Real Estate Private Fund Group, which he helped form in 2000 at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ) prior to its merger with Credit Suisse. Prior to joining DLJ, he was a Managing Director at Robertson Stephens in the Private Fund and Private Capital Management Groups. In the above roles, Bill has overseen over 110 real estate capital raises totaling over $70 billion of capital. Prior to Robertson, Bill was a Managing Director at LaSalle Advisors, where his responsibilities included acquisitions and new business development, of which he was global head. Bill holds a B.A. from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He previously served on the Real Estate Advisory Board of Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management.
