Ben Eldredge is a senior managing director and focuses on advising companies in the distribution, building products, building materials and specialty materials sectors. He has advised on many notable M&A and capital markets transactions for corporations, private equity groups and family-owned businesses. His transaction experience includes the recapitalization of Foley Products with Oaktree; sale of Spectrum’s HHI division to ASSA ABLOY; sale of Big Ass Fans to Madison Industries; sale of IPS to Centerbridge; combination of FBM and Beacon’s interior products business; sale of Bluegrass Materials to Martin Marietta; sale of Big Ass Fans to Lindsay Goldberg; sale of Milestone to Legrand; sale of Ply Gem to CD&R; sale of Norcraft to Fortune Brands; acquisition of ProBuild by BFS; acquisition of Hanson Building Products by Lone Star; acquisition of RSG by Beacon; sale of TXI to Martin Marietta; sale of Lafarge’s N.A. gypsum business to Lone Star; sale of ElkCorp to BMCA; acquisition of Rinker by Cemex; and IPOs for Core & Main, Forterra, Skyline Champion, GMS, Atkore, Stock Building Supply, Jeld-Wen, Norcraft, Summit Materials, and Continental Building Products. Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Eldredge was the global head of basic materials & distribution at Credit Suisse. Earlier, he was a managing director at Citigroup and also worked at Lehman Brothers and Goldsmith Agio Helms. Mr. Eldredge holds an MBA in finance from Columbia Business School and a B.A. in economics and international studies from Northwestern University.
