Ben Catt is a London-based Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of the utilities, infrastructure and transport Strategic Advisory group in Europe and Asia. Over the course of his career, Mr. Catt has worked on a broad range of transactions and sectors, including regulated utilities, power generation, transportation infrastructure and midstream infrastructure. He has advised a number of the leading global infrastructure investors, including 3i, ADIA, Allianz, CPPIB, GIC, Goldman Sachs, IFM, J.P. Morgan, KKR, Macquarie, OMERS, OTPP and USS. His notable transactions include the acquisition of Redexis Gas in Spain, the £2 billion acquisition of High Speed 1, the take-privates of Kelda (£6 billion) and AWG (£6 billion), and the £550 million project financing of Severn Power. Prior to Evercore, Mr. Catt was a Partner and Director of Lexicon Partners, the corporate finance advisory business which was acquired by Evercore in 2011. Before joining Lexicon Partners in 2004, he worked at Rothschild & Co in the M&A team for two years. Mr. Catt has a first class degree in Economics from Cambridge University.
